Celebrate the Moments
There are lots of reasons to celebrate the people you love. Maybe you’re starting a family with a shiny ring, or growing your family with a new addition. Perhaps you want to cherish some special moments before they grow up, commemorate a hard-working graduate going off into the world or express gratitude for 50 years of life together so far. Or maybe you’re gathering to grieve a loved one. Whatever the reason, we all deserve to be honored for making it through this crazy thing called life!
Collective Spark
When you get all the people you love together for a family photo session. You’re not just capturing memories, you’re making them. When families come together for a dedicated hour of quality time, they laugh, they smile and have fun.
What Awaits You
My job as a photographer is to make you feel comfortable to be yourselves. On a family photoshoot, we’ll start with posed group portraits photos. It’s usually best if the largest group goes first. During this time I may ask you to switch places with other people, adjust your positioning or remove hats and eyewear. We will run through all the group combinations of different family members. Once all the posed portraits are complete, we’ll switch to candid photos with any remaining time.
During this time I’ll ask you to engage with the environment however feels natural to you; skip rocks, climb trees, jump off a dock, give someone a giant hug, etc. The ratio of posed to candid shots depends on the family’s personal preference.
